Burning Sin (Poem inspired from a song "Burn it All")

Let's rise from the ashes,
so life came begin again.
Let's open the door to our blacken hearts
and let the light wash in.

Unaccounted for, Unresolved,
terrible reasons that are Unforgiven.

Let's revolt
and fall together
We can try what we must,
but who can resist it anymore?
Because everything is evil,
and must be repented for.

Unexcused, unexplained,
wrongful choices that are unrestrained.

Say what you see,
but don't believe it.
Break the chains of normality
and you are then free.
Because no one is stopping you
from burning it all.

It's sort of like a synopsis, a one sentence summary (really depends on what magazines ask for). But mostly it just lets the editors know that your story is X amount of words, has your credentials, if you have any, and a brief bio.

Something about that snippet really touched me. I can't really explain it, unfortunately. D:

This poem really touched something in me. The words are powerful and the message in it is very true.

I'm putting together a "Whitman Sampler". Best stuff of the past three years. I've already included two of your poems in the volume, but I'd like to include something edgy from you as well. Send me something....Surprise me!
